Respiratory Airway Disease
Respiratory airway disease refers to a group of conditions that affect the airways in the lungs, causing difficulty in breathing. Examples of respiratory airway diseases include asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchitis, and emphysema. These conditions can be caused by genetic factors, environmental factors such as exposure to pollution and tobacco smoke, and occupational exposure to certain irritants. Risk factors for respiratory airway disease include smoking, exposure to air pollution, a family history of the condition, and certain occupations that involve exposure to irritants.
