Parkinson's Disease
Parkinson's disease is a progressive and degenerative disorder of the nervous system that primarily affects the motor functions of the body. The disease is caused by the gradual loss of dopamine-producing neurons in the brain, leading to symptoms such as tremors, stiffness, slow movements, and difficulty with balance and coordination. The exact cause of Parkinson's disease is not yet fully understood, but it is thought to involve a combination of genetic and environmental factors, such as exposure to certain toxins, age, and head injuries. Risk factors for Parkinson's disease include advancing age, a family history of the disease, and male gender.
